Having 1 agent per turn abandon a faction with no settlements would steadily deplete their pool of agents so something could be done without having to use all of your agents to try to slow down a dead faction's agent army. Also an AI faction can just use agents constantly until the faction is wiped off the map, which is just a nuisance. This happens especially frequently with navies as they will raid outside of ports and can run further than embarked armies, so you have to raise a navy just to kill 1 group of units then immediately disband it. It isn't too much fun to fully conquer a faction but then have to play whack-a-mole hunting tiny armies skittering all over the map. As the AI seems to have infinite money they can get a massive army with mercenaries pretty much anywhere and be very tough to stamp out. They would take one settlement, spawn another general and force march in random directions to take another settlement after hiring mercenaries. In my recent campaign as Rome in Empire Divided I took Gallic Rome's last settlement about 4-5 times. They should not be able to spawn and invade a completely unrelated faction, this again just penalizes the player for the AI's failure to manage public order.ДЇactions should also be easier to eliminate when they do not have any remaining settlements.

Slave rebellions are already brutal, with them getting a full 20 stack army immediately. Somewhat related to the prior point is when another faction's slave rebellion can invade unrelated lands. I should not be penalized for another faction's inability to handle public order. So basically I got a faction that hates me placed on my border because a faction I was not fighting had a rebellion, retook the settlement and liberated it instead of keeping it. Rome then declared war on me immediately since all the penalties from fighting them were still there. In my Sassanid campaign the Germanic Confederation (Gothi + Marcomanni) liberated Rome, who they had been fighting and taking territory from in the entire campaign.

Not being able to manually enter amounts just increases the time spent negotiating payments in diplomacy, which is less than fun.ДЇactions should not liberate others that they hate. You can usually get close to the actual value you want by offering then demanding repeatedly to increment the amount (for example offer 2,480 gold, then flip it to demand and reduce the amount to get it to 1,480 since demands can increment by the 1,000 at a time while the offers cannot). Payments in diplomacy should be able to be manually entered. Autoresolve slaughtering your cavalry units though forces you to replenish troops for far longer, slowing down progress considerably. I do like fighting out battles, but certain fights such as against garrisons or very small armies are just not that fun as you just steamroll the enemy army anyway. At the moment when you autoresolve any cavalry, elephant, or chariot units are mostly destroyed as if they were front charging everything in the battle. The autoresolve needs to more evenly distribute damage to troops. If the faction being recreated functioned the same way as normal rebels by having the public order increase as malcontents rejoin that faction as soldiers until it gets a 20 stack army that would make this far less annoying to deal with. This happened with my recent Sassanid playthrough in the Empire Divided campaign with Galatia, and I was only able to solve it by having multiple armies sit in the province until the public order normalized. This can lead to an endless loop of the province rebelling, being fully controlled, and rebelling again since retaking the province adds the conquest penalty and does not increase public order through military suppression like a regular rebellion. I have bolded my suggestions below, the rest of the respective paragraphs are for discussing the issue and presenting examples of when they happened while playing -Д¬urrently when a province rebels and there used to be a faction located in that area, the rebellion will recreate that faction. However there are a few things that happen that can be incredibly annoying to deal with in a campaign. The general style of playing the games is very fun, from managing your empire's economy to the strategy of fighting the battles against the various enemies that will pop up. I am currently at 830 hours on Rome 2 alone and will continue to play it for a while to come. I am going to use examples from Rome 2 specifically since that is currently the one I have been playing the most.
