Also prot pally is solid due to the amount of tools/interrupts it brings and can also pump pretty great dmg in huge pulls. My advice to you if you plan on doing high keys is either brew or warrior but you can play any tank up to level 20 or so! I will tell you that for raiding brewmaster will probably continue to be the best just because of how they are designed with stagger but honestly it does not matter unless youre pushing for hall of fame or anything.

If the current nerf goes through then that will probably set warriors back as the best high key tank but we have to wait to see the rest of class tuning and how essences play out. Brewmasters are set to receive a nerf soon but no one is sure how that will play out. The key levels of the MDI are only 18 so you can get away with massive pulls compared to live keys. When it comes to MDI the best tank is warrior due to the fact that they do massive amount of damage whenever they do crazy mongol pulls compared to other tanks on top of having great defensive tools (Also spell reflect is op). Warriors are also capable of tanking these but Monks just take so much less dmg due to stagger that they are currently BiS. 3.2k IO player here hoping to give you some clarity! So at the current moment Brewmasters are the best tanks for the highest level keys. M+ and world content will likely be the endgame content I do the most. I mostly just want to do raids to see the content/get some gear to help me with other stuff. Should I ever consider getitng back into mythic raiding, it wouldn't be until the next exspansion. I am not looking to push any 'top world' content. I am an experianced tank but it has been a fair while since I focused on tanking in any way, as I mostly have healed. I have healed for a very long time and will mostly be looking to tank now, and purhaps DPS on the off chances a tank isn't needed for a group, or maybe for some world content. I don't need the abilty to heal as an off spec. I also will be doing a lot of world content, including old world stuff, as this character will become my main. I don't like to just leave a run (espcially if it's just 1 person being bad so I don't punish the whole group), and I'd prefure to just sustain myself as best as I can and finish the run. I enjoy being able to sustain myself incase the group I am with isn't very good or has problems. I'm not sure which tank would be the best for me to go with. I'm looking to tank M+ (as high as I can with PuGs) and maybe pug raids (so LFR and normal mostly, maybe some heroic).
